Lokomat® Pro
The Lokomat® Pro system is the most advanced, innovative, and patented device for the therapy of patients suffering from neurological disorders. This device is recognized by many specialists as the best gait rehabilitation system in the world. This is confirmed by numerous scientific studies published by rehabilitation clinics in Europe, Asia, and America (over 250 significant scientific publications). Lokomat® Pro is a fully automated lower limb orthosis that allows training on a treadmill while maintaining a proper walking pattern under dynamic unloading conditions. It supports the learning and retraining of walking and rehabilitation of even the most challenging dysfunctions. In the case of neurological disorders therapy, regular motor training using the Lokomat® device helps prevent the fixation of pathological walking patterns. Thanks to its unique design, the patient can precisely perform the maximum recommended number of walking cycles. (source: informational materials from Meden-Inmed)
Luna EMG
Luna is the world's first rehabilitation robot designed to revolutionize the market and provide hope for improving the mobility of those who have lost it.
The robot was created in Gliwice by Michał Mikulski, the owner of EgzoTech. Luna is the first rehabilitation robot globally to actively exercise people with advanced muscle atrophy, using electromyography (EMG).
Luna assists patients who have lost hope. It helps exercise muscles in various parts of the body for patients with orthopedic conditions, such as fractures, as well as neurological conditions. The latter include those who have experienced a stroke and suffer from Duchenne muscular dystrophy or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Imagine a young man diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. With each passing day, he loses strength and struggles to lift a cup to his mouth. His leg strength diminishes, he stops walking, and he needs assistance with basic tasks. To slow down the disease, constant rehabilitation is required. Luna proves its usefulness in such cases. The device increases the patient's muscle strength, range of motion, and provides visible improvement, especially in challenging cases like post-stroke recovery. In situations where the patient lacks the strength to lift arms and legs, Luna helps the physiotherapist assess the patient more quickly, check their health status, and determine the effectiveness of rehabilitation. Patients can monitor their exercises and progress in real-time, making the therapy engaging. There are also rehabilitation games to make the process more enjoyable, particularly for children. The robot detects electrical signals within the muscles and utilizes them for enhanced, active rehabilitation. Explains Michał Mikulski, the creator of Luna.
The patient's leg or arm is attached to the robot using appropriate cables. Minimal effort is required from the patient for Luna to assist in completing the movement. Such a device can be essential for many disabled individuals in their recovery. Luna cannot be deceived; the patient must initiate the movement, but Luna can read the patient's intentions and help. It responds to the energetic activity coming from the muscles. Luna is unique in that even patients with advanced muscle atrophy can actively exercise on their own, which was previously impossible in rehabilitation. Luna is the first robot to enable this, emphasizes Mikulski.
It takes just a few minutes to adjust the machine to a patient with leg disorders after treating a patient with a hand disorder. Thanks to its wheels and adjustable elements, Luna can easily rehabilitate patients lying down. Moreover, one therapist can coordinate the work of four robots simultaneously, training with four patients at the same time. Luna can objectively analyze exercise results as it can remember the exercise history. Luna will soon start conquering foreign markets, including Hong Kong. Cooperation: KD. Luna's exterior appearance as a simple, inconspicuous, and unusual 80-kilogram wheeled table with a small monitor and Velcro straps is deceiving. However, the device's construction is complex. Luna has gained its significant capabilities through sensor sets and applied drives.
